Internship Summary:
As an HR Summer Intern, you’ll gain hands-on experience in various aspects of human resources while supporting our team in key initiatives.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Participating in employee relations initiatives, including surveys and feedback sessions
- Helping with payroll, benefits, and compliance-related documentation
- Contributing to HR projects, such as diversity & inclusion efforts or learning & development programs
- Streamlining processes & helping to create efficiencies within the HR department.
- Implementation of processes that foster employee self service
- Uploading HR policies into Paycom
- Assist in creating succession plan for key roles
- Creating a federal and state legislation dashboard
- Assist with rolling out 2025 mid-year check-ins
- Providing general support to the HR team as needed
- File hard copy documents into an internal electronic database
- Assisting with planning company events, lunches, and outings
- Comply with established company work rules, policies, and procedures
- Actively engages with other members of the company to continuously strive to improve processes, create efficiencies, reduce costs and increase profitability
- Cooperatively takes on other duties, roles, or responsibilities, as assigned
Requested Skills/Abilities:
- Must have effective written and verbal communication skills
- Have strong organization and time management skills with the ability to work without distraction
- Must be a team player and motivated to learn with a strong desire to take on a new challenge
- Ability to meet all assigned deadlines.
- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Enthusiasm for HR and a willingness to learn!
Education Qualifications:
- Must be an incoming Junior or Senior majoring in Human Resources Management, Employment Law or Business Administration (with HR concentration) or graduating in May 2025 with a Human Resources Management, Employment Law or Business Administration
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk working on a computer
- Must be able to access various departments of a given location
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
Salary Range: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour commensurate with experience.
