Job Description


Energy Solutions Associate supports the execution of a clean energy project through to completion. This role supports project success across a wide array of tasks and multiple lines of business starting with our Roadmap, and including energy efficiency (EE), electric vehicle support equipment (EVSE), and finance. The Energy Solutions Associate supports the Roadmap process (including audits and assessments); assists in the building of solutions, coordinates shipping delivery and logistics; manages installation; assures quality of work; and delivers customer satisfaction. The Energy Solutions Associate works seamlessly with the entire Donovan Energy team (including sales and accounting) to ensure project success. In additions, the Energy Solutions Associate brings an entrepreneurial, problem-solving mindset to the job.

REPORTS TO: Energy Solutions Manager


  • Completes or oversees clean energy audits and assessments and helps lead our Roadmap offering;

  • Manages logistics of project delivery, including ordering, shipping, delivery, staging, scheduling, and clean-up, all in accordance with customer requirements;

  • Identifies system improvements and efficiencies within Donovan Energy’s value delivery process;

  • Generates and transmits customer purchase orders, including change orders, and communicates with Accounting staff on all ongoing projects;

  • Provides general support for Sr Energy Solutions Associate and Energy Solutions Manager as needed;

  • Communicates regularly with customers;

  • Meets financial objectives by forecasting project requirements, preparing budgets, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective actions;

  • Enhances Donovan Energy’s reputation by confronting challenges head-on with a positive, customer-focused attitude, and accomplishing new and different challenges upon request;

  • Contributes to internal innovation processes; and

  • Works collaboratively with Sales and other Operations/Solutions staff and the full Donovan Energy team.

  • Attends seminars and classes to increase industry knowledge and gain a deeper understanding on DE offerings and industry and technology advancements in our space


  • Education: College or associates degree or equivalent vocational background in electrical, mechanical, surveying, or related fields preferred.

  • Experience:

    • 1 - 5 years of experience in project management or operational roles leading multiple phases of a project is preferred. Experience with clean energy and energy efficiency is a plus but not a requirement.


  • Excellent English verbal and written communication skills;

  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to drive resolution;

  • Excellent oral and written skills, including ability to create professional correspondence;

  • Knowledge of cloud collaboration tools (i.e. Gmail, Google Drive, etc.) and the Microsoft Office suite;

  • Proficiency with spreadsheets and project management software;

  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment.
