Job Description

Responsible for Cincinnati Children's brand stewardship, including the designing and creating graphics, art, and video for use in a variety of internal and external mediums.

REPRESENTATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES

·Planning and Execution
Develops and oversees marketing and communications programs and initiatives; Identifies when to modify plan based on need, anticipates future needs; Leads internal teams and collaborates with external partners to execute marketing and communication activities, including but not limited to brand management, direct marketing, digital content, photography, video production, advertising and design services; Implements message strategy for assigned programs; Creates, compiles and communicates measures to evaluate results and to improve impact of tactics; identifies and implements opportunities for improvement. Selects and manages external vendors. Stays abreast of industry trends and best practices and brings those to the team to make improvements; viewed as subject matter expert; Anticipates new work for major programs and initiatives and recommends solutions; Contributes to total effectiveness of team and department to increase referrals and enhance reputation of the organization; solving problems proactively, offering creative ideas, and working as a positive, engaged team member.
·Brand Management
Oversees development of brand guidelines (print, digital, environmental and promotional) and architecture. Ensures adherence to Cincinnati Children's brand guidelines and manages compliance issues directly with internal clients, escalating to senior M&C leadership as needed. Leads identification of outside designers and writers for Cincinnati Children's approved roster (taking into consideration the preferred resources of other M&C teams as well as other departments within the medical center). Onboard freelancers/vendors to appropriate brand guidelines on an annual basis. Serves as a subject matter expert for Cincinnati Children's brand and architecture.
·Project Management
Provide leadership for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of specific projects ensuring consistency with organizational strategy, commitments and goals. Manages the project budget. Develop project plans resource allocation, and timeline. Manage the day-to-day operational aspects of a project and scope. May direct assigned project team ensuring effective utilization of resources. Reports on progress of the project to all stakeholders. Provides detailed organizational communication plans when clinical operations are impacted.
·Fiscal Management
Assist with fiscal responsibilities of the department as requested. Monitor budget expenditures; identify and research variances/problems. Assist in tracking and monitoring expense and allocations. Provide applicable reports. Research information for major purchases. May assist with annual budget preparation.
·People Planning & Performance
Provides work direction to staff aligned with the tactical and strategic objectives of the department. Elevates team members; thinking and understanding of the field by infusing best practice knowledge into the work. Manages the selection, development, and coaching of team members. Ensure that job requirements and goals for each position are clear to employees and that Medical Center initiatives, priorities, standards, and policies are effectively communicated and understood. Responsible/accountable for collaboration and partnership internally and externally.

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • 7+ years of work experience in a related job discipline
  • Agency or client-focused experience
