Job Description

Worthington Steel and Worthington Samuel Coil Processing (WSCP), a joint venture operated by Worthington Steel, are looking to add production associates, with a solid work history, to our Cleveland Area Production teams on 2nd and 3rd shifts.

Here in Cleveland, we process steel for a variety of customers; mainly working with automotive suppliers._ We put our people first and operate under the guiding principle of the Golden Rule-treating others the way we want to be treated. This individual will be cross trained to perform and assist with multiple tasks throughout the day to ensure safe and quality production. You may be responsible for packaging, setting up & assisting with machine operation, or moving materials around the plant with a forklift and/or crane for production to run smoothly.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Basic math & reading skills.
  • Mechanical aptitude a plus
  • Possess good problem-solving skills and knowledge of safety practices.
  • Possess a high level of personal accountability and attention to detail.
  • Must have a history of exemplary attendance.
  • Must be able to handle physical, repetitive work and work in extreme temperatures.
  • Must have full mobility, be capable of standing for long periods of time, heavy lifting ability (up to 50lbs) and reaching overhead.
  • 0-6 months prior experience a plus, but not required.
  • We will provide you with OSHA safety training, but if you already have it that’s a plus!

Forklift and crane license or certification, a plus!

  • Ability to fulfill training requirements and adjust schedule according to changing production demands, including weekend or overtime work.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Must pass pre-employment drug test and background check.
