We have an immediate opportunity for a Maintenance Supervisor to lead and support our team of four multi-trade technicians at our WSCP Twinsburg facility. This individual will be responsible for performing and overseeing maintenance functions for the facility, including building utility systems, equipment maintenance, and building maintenance. This individual ensures safety, environmental, work scope objectives, and departmental goals are being met including safety, project, cost, training, and quality objectives.
Our ideal candidate will be an effective problem-solver, able to prioritize and delegate tasks to ensure that daily operations are running effectively and efficiently. They will also demonstrate the leadership and coaching skills to support and manage team members in accordance with Our Philosophy and People-first culture.
Responsibilities
- Reviews/updates maintenance workload and priorities with lead technician
- Works with other Area Managers on safety, equipment or building related issues
- Supports the continuous development and performance of maintenance technicians
- May assist technicians with machine repair and trouble-shooting
- Determines and coordinates the need for outside contractors; works with contractors, vendors, and corporate engineering on short and long--term projects, machine upgrades and continuous improvement projects, etc.
- Ensures maintenance team understands and promotes all safety policies and procedures, and works safe, always
- Other duties as assigned
Desired Experience
- Electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic repair; PLC skills, preferred
- Good understanding of the business goals and objectives with the ability to make sound decisions based on current business conditions
- Ability to multi-task several projects at the same time
- Proficient in PC and Microsoft Office, e.g. Excel, Word, email etc. ERP software experience and data reporting experience, a plus
- Ability to read electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and PLC drawings
- Strong analytical and organization skills
- Excellent listening and verbal, written, and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate, resolve conflict, and problem-solve with all levels of plant personnel
- Strong coaching and training skills to effectively mentor and teach new and experienced team members
- 4+ years of experience in industrial maintenance repair; 1+ years in a supervisory/management role, preferred
