Job Description

Expected Starting Salary: 41.10 - 52.27

SUBFUNCTION DEFINITION: HR support for client group Leaders, Managers and Employees on organizational and employee matters, as well as coaching, HR process expertise and other general HR activities.

SCOPE: Collaborates with senior leadership to achieve long-term and short-term business goals in alignment with CCHMC Strategic Plan. Engages as thought partner with leadership to provide strategic HR consulting. Serves as an organizational advocate and change leader; facilitating the prioritization of strategic initiatives through targeted; innovative and responsive human resources solutions. As the strategic partner to specific client groups; leverages expertise across HR functions to facilitate strategy; problem solving; and process improvement.

REPRESENTATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES

•Human Capital Management
Navigates Human Resources and the organization to access resources and expertise to facilitate strategic planning, human capital management and operational performance. Communicates courageously and serves as a trusted advisor.

•Talent Management
Leverages talent management tools and approaches (performance calibration, provides targeted solutions that support business objectives and organizational performance). Partners with HR COEs to facilitate viable solutions and human capital strategies to drive organizational performance

•Consultation
Consults, identifies trends, anticipates gaps and opportunities, develops solutions regarding performance of human capital drivers and strategy alignment (Leadership Practices, Employee Engagement, Knowledge Accessibility, Workforce Planning and Optimization, and Learning Capacity). Reinforces strengths and coaches to areas of opportunity.

•Policies and Governance
Keep abreast of changes in the field through relevant continuing education, seminars and literature. Practice utilizing consistent and standardized processes. Recommend changes to policies and practices to respond to regulatory changes, environmental changes, and changes due to advancements in the field of Human Resources. Interpret policies and counsel regarding responsibilities and rights as CCHMC employees; proactively identify, manage and facilitate the equitable resolution of job-related complaints and concerns. Ensure consistent practices/decision making to mitigate risk and promote a professionally ethical work environment. .Identify and recommend strategies to address current and future human resource needs.

•Leadership Development
As the consulting partner, the HRBP will coach and develop leaders as they grow and develop their teams. This includes providing support as leadership facilitates Performance Development calibration sessions; counseling leadership as they succession plan; brokering with HR COEs and other Human Resources members to leverage expertise and resources to grow top talent; facilitating New Leader Assimilation between manager and staff to ensure a successful transition and trust building; providing transparent feedback to clients.

Qualifications

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

Required:

•Bachelor's degree in a related field
• 5 - 7 years of work experience in a related job discipline.

Preferred:

•Master's Degree

•Experience in acquisitions, mergers and joint ventures strongly preferred

•Experience in start-ups, CDMOs, for-profit companies, talent aquisition management, and leadership development

•Strong skills in relationship management, business acumen, coaching, influencing, organizational design, and organizational agility.
