The Position: Healthcare Emergency Preparedness Program Manager

Location: Northeast Ohio

Summary: Join our team as the Healthcare Emergency Preparedness Program Manager and play a pivotal role in enhancing disaster preparedness efforts within the Northeast Ohio healthcare community. Manage ASPR grant-funded program activities and initiatives to achieve regional disaster readiness objectives and goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with community agencies to promote disaster preparedness at regional, state, and national levels in alignment with ASPR and ODH directives.
  • Oversee the ASPR Healthcare Preparedness Project, ensuring timely submission of deliverables per grant requirements.
  • Analyze healthcare needs, working closely with hospitals and healthcare partners to establish goals aligned with State and Federal guidelines.
  • Coordinate and lead regional healthcare coalition activities and workgroups to foster collaboration and preparedness.
  • Develop preparedness and response plans, focusing on regional healthcare facility readiness for potential medical surges.
  • Maintain records, databases, and inventory in compliance with Ohio Administrative Guidelines Manual and RFP requirements.
  • Prepare annual competitive and continuation grant applications and funding contracts within designated timeframes.
  • Represent the Healthcare Coalition (HCC) and The Center in regional committees and preparedness exercises. Serve as the Regional Healthcare Coordinator (RHC) in emergency operations centers as required.

Qualifications:

  • Strong relationship-building skills with government agencies, first responders, hospitals, and the community.
  • In-depth knowledge of industry best practices in crisis and emergency management.
  • 5-7 years related experience in public health, hospital, or other healthcare related field.
