About the Role / Position Summary
The VP, Operations and Technology Innovation is a senior leadership role focused on driving cross-functional initiatives to streamline business processes, manage operational and technology projects, and oversee the implementation lifecycle. Acting as a vital link between stakeholders, clients, and technical teams, this role ensures seamless alignment between strategic business goals, operational priorities, and customer needs. Combining expertise in business process analysis and project management, the VP, Operations and Technology Innovation delivers impactful solutions that enhance efficiency, profitability, and service delivery across the organization.
What You’ll Do / Responsibilities
- Collaborate cross-functionally across the organization and design and lead implementation projects and initiatives that drive the Firm forward.
- Reporting to the COO, collaborate with department leaders on strategic planning and execution of operations and technology initiatives.
- Research, analyze, recommend, and implement changes to FEG’s business processes to improve operational efficiencies, quality, service, and profitability.
- Manage the scope, financial impact, timeline, and deliverables of projects.
- Develop detailed project plans, monitor project milestones, and generate and communicate periodic status reports to leadership.
- Act as a bridge between stakeholders and development teams to understand business specifications, constraints, and development roadblocks and recommend actionable solutions.
- Serve as an analytical, objective thought partner to internal stakeholders, helping refine strategic decisions with data-driven insights.
- Attend relevant seminars and maintain network contacts to stay abreast of the ever-changing vendor landscape and best practices within the financial industry; monitor, review, and report on solutions.
What We Expect / Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, information systems, project management, or related field. For certain positions, we accept a high school diploma, GED, or National Career Readiness Certificate (NCRC).
- 8-12 years of work experience in business analysis, process improvement, project management, and solutions implementation, preferably within the asset management sector.
- Preferred certifications include PMP, CBAP, CSPO or Lean Six Sigma.
- Proficiency in project management tools (e.g. JIRA, MS Project) and process mapping software (e.g. Visio).
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize effectively and resolve complex issues with minimal guidance.
