The Balloon Time Brand Manager will lead strategic planning and execution, including innovation strategy and roadmap, marketing and communication strategy, commercialization plan, P&L management, and competitive threat assessment and action plans. This role collaborates closely with the Brand Director, Sales Director, Marketing team, New Product Development team, Finance, Quality, Procurement, Supply Chain and Operations Management to achieve business objectives.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Planning & Direction: Translate consumer and customer needs into clearly defined objectives, goals and strategies to drive profitable growth. Provide clear strategic direction to cross-functional team who will develop and manage execution plans.
  • Product Development: Establish product development priorities based on unmet customer needs, create business cases and product briefs, assist in go-to-market strategy, and collaborate with appropriate stakeholders for successful implementation.
  • Voice of Consumer: Identify new opportunities and prioritize consumer needs within the portfolio. Partner with consumer insights team to gain insights.
  • Market Analysis: Identify, track and disseminate key market information to 1) gain competitive advantage, 2) expand into new markets and/or product segments, and 3) identify competitive threats.
  • Demand Planning: Collaborate with Brand Director, Sales, Supply Chain and Operations to establish annual and monthly S&OP plans.
  • Pricing: Use POS data and market knowledge to develop pricing strategies to maximize profitability, in collaboration with Sales and Price Desk Teams.

  • Strong strategic, marketing, analytical, and financial skills
  • Ability to lead cross functional teams and influence the organization at all levels
  • Ability to develop and implement a cohesive and aligned strategy
  • Business development and sales acumen to identify new business opportunities that generate margin accretive returns
  • Experience driving market research
  • E-commerce experience
  • Strong collaboration experience with a diverse work force, cross-functional teams and outside agencies
  • Strong written and oral communication skills

Education/Training Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from four-year college or university, and desired minimum 3+ years of related experience and/or training in marketing; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
